Birdwatching on Cape Verde: 4.) San Nicolao and Razo. Vogelbeobachtung auf San Nicolao und Razo

What draws birdwatchers there is mostly the Razo Lark (Alauda Razae) , an endemic restricted to a tiny uninhabitad island. The boat-trip there also offers a chance to see Cape Verde Petrel (Pterodroma feae), Cape Verde Shearwater (Calonectris edwardsi). Little Shearwater (Puffinus boydi) is also possible. However, from the small shaking boat with water coming over, it is almost impossible to get good pictures of these pelagic birds. Access to the islands Razo and Branco is forbidden.
