Every year Colin Cross organizes a bird ringing expedition at the Kartong Bird Observatory. We were extremely impressed by the calm, efficient and gentle procedure we witnessed when we visited the team in the field. One could see that there were professionals at work who loved birds and knew what they were doing. On most days the work starts before daybreak and goes far into the afternoon. The team is staying in Hanny's Lemonfish Art Gallery which is very appropriate: bird ringing is an art! Thank you all for letting us have a glimpse!
